Physicians
Our physicians are board certified in Family Medicine, which involves 3 years of specialty training following 4 years of medical school. To maintain this certification they must complete at least 50 hours each year of approved Continuing Medical Education as well as passing the Family Medicine recertification board exam every 7 years.


 

John Zangmeister, M.D. has been with the FMC since 1986. He enjoys caring for patients of all ages. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University, he received his medical degree from the OSU School of Medicine in 1983. He completed the 3 year Family Medicine Residency program at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr Zangmeister is married and has 2 children. He enjoys a variety of outside interests including running, cycling, skiing, camping, and digital photography.







 

John Hanicak, M.D. joined the FMC in 2002. His medical interests include pediatrics and sports medicine. He is a west side Cleveland native who grew up in Our Lady of the Angels Parish. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School and earned his undergraduate degree at Kenyon College. Dr. Hanicak graduated from Wright State School of Medicine in 1999, and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Fairview Hospital. He is married and has 3 children.

 

 



Michelle Lees, M.D. joined the FMC in August, 2005 following the completion of a 3 year residency training program at Barberton Citizens Hospital. Her medical interests include pediatrics, preventative medicine, Gyn/well woman exams, diabetes, complimentary medicine, and minor procedures. She is a Youngstown, Ohio native, with her undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University. Dr. Lees graduated from the Medical University of Ohio in Toledo in 2002. She is married and is planning for children in the future.
