Physicians
Our physicians are board certified in Family Medicine, which involves 3 years of specialty training following 4 years of medical school. To maintain this certification they must complete at least 50 hours each year of approved Continuing Medical Education as well as passing the Family Medicine recertification board exam every 7 years.

John Zangmeister, M.D. has been with the FMC since 1986. He enjoys caring for patients of all ages. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University, he received his medical degree from the OSU School of Medicine in 1983. He completed the 3 year Family Medicine Residency program at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr Zangmeister is married and has 2 children. He enjoys a variety of outside interests including running, cycling, skiing, camping, and digital photography.

John Hanicak, M.D. joined the FMC in 2002. His medical interests include pediatrics and sports medicine. He is a west side Cleveland native who grew up in Our Lady of the Angels Parish. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School and earned his undergraduate degree at Kenyon College. Dr. Hanicak graduated from Wright State School of Medicine in 1999, and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Fairview Hospital. He is married and has 3 children.

Erin Nagrant, M.D. joined the Family Medicine Center in September of 2009. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages with an emphasis on preventative care. She earned her undergraduate degree at Hope College in Holland, MI. She graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2003 and completed a combined residency program in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics through the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in 2007. Following residency, Dr. Nagrant was on the hospital medical staff at UPMC Shadyside before joining the FMC. She is married with 3 children.
